We do a pretty good job of doing a lot of work in a short amount of time here at Balcones Fitness. But there are ways you can optimize your workouts even more. Here are 5 easy tips to help you get the most out of your next workout.
Show up on time
We’re only here for an hour. If you miss out on the first 10 minutes of class, you’ll be playing catch up the rest of the hour. Get here on time so you can warm up and understand the details of the workout from your coach.
Little distractions add up. If you’re not focused on the workout, you can’t give a good effort when the clock starts.
Don’t worry about the whiteboard
Don’t stress out about other people’s times. Do what you can do and strive to beat yourself. Use the whiteboard as motivation, not an additional stress.
If it’s a workout that shorter than 20 minutes, you probably don’t need more water. I promise you won’t get dehydrated that quickly. Don’t use water or short breaks as a crutch. Keep moving.
This is supposed to fun. Hard, but fun. Don’t get worked up if you don’t hit the exact time or weight you wanted. There’s always tomorrow.
