I first got introduced to Crossfit by one of my close friends Bekah. She was always telling me how different and awesome the work outs were. I finally decided to go try some of the community work outs with her and immediately fell in love.
My first impression was that this is challenging! It was during my first meeting with Tanner. He had me do a quick AMRAP and I was struggling. It gave me motivation to keep going and try again to see the improvement within a few weeks.
The biggest change I’ve seen since I started at Balcones CrossFit is that I am a lot more active and more motivated to do really anything in life.
I have been doing PT sessions with Tanner for about 2 months now. Before, I was having horrible stomach issues. I felt like I could not eat anything without getting sick afterwards. I became used to that feeling so I have always ignored it. Since working with Tanner I have cut out diary, wheat, corn and alcohol. I have been very strict and consistent with my diet and I feel 100% better.
Since I was in high school, I have been struggling with lower back pain. About 6 months ago the pain got worse. I was diagnosed with arthritis and was not able to finish any work outs because of the pain. Now I am finishing all of my work outs and dead lifting multiple reps pain free!!
So far I have felt amazing changes in my body. This is just the beginning and I can’t wait to see where I am in the future.
