1. Cardiovascular/respiratory endurance
Flexibility refers to the range of motion possible surrounding a joint or series of joints in the body. Flexibility is important in CrossFit and other sports so that limbs and joints can be moved without significant risk of injury.
Flexibility is often overlooked in the strength training community and is one of the most underrated tenets of CrossFit. Being able to move your joints through a proper range of motion is imperative for many of the movements found in the gym, such as squats, overhead presses, and lunges. Being flexible allows us to strengthen the entire muscle, not just a shortened range, and also keeps us safe from injuries due to rapid extension of tight muscles and joints.
We stretch both pre and post workout to increase flexibility and keep you all safe during the workouts.
