I had a conversation with some folks in the 630 class on Friday about environmental toxins and their effects on fat storage patterns. The primary means that we expose ourselves to these toxins is through what we eat and more importantly what we put on our skin. Xenoestrogen literally means foreign estrogen. It is defined on www.mediLexicon.com as any of the by-products of industrial or chemical processing that have estrogenlike effects. Xenoestrogens are mistaken by the body as estrogen, a hormone normally found in the body of both male and females.
